Some social media recipes only show how to cook the recipe. They don't include any description or audio detailing the recipes. These recipes fail to stash because the app uses the post description and the transcript from the video to extract the recipe details.
We can do better...
Stashcook should analyse the frames from the video for captions, images of ingredients and method steps. The would improve the stash rate of TikTok and Instagram.
We should also provide feedback related to what stage of the stashing process the recipe is under at the moment (Downloading Content, Analysing Video etc). Plus we should show a info tooltip when ingredients and method steps have been inferred from the video frames and not from written text. This is so that the we can better understand how Stashcook has extracted the recipe and we know what we should double check, because a chopped orange pepper could easily be mistaken for a carrot etc.
